Chris Kleu Architects, previously MVA Architects, is a George based architecture and design practice established by Chris Kleu in 2012.
We have a growing portfolio of various project types including residential, commercial, institutional, hospitality and interiors.
Every project is a unique response to brief, budget and site, always designed in close collaboration with our clients whose trust we greatly respect.

Our team of 5 consists of Chris Kleu (Principal Architect), Carolynn Kleu (Admin), Cheryl Austin (Secretary & Admin), Alex Moll (Project Architect) and Jonathan Witthuhn (Project Architect). 

We offer flexible services tailored to each client's requirements and fees are negotiable to suit.
All of our projects start with a concept feasibility stage prior to completing the concept design, which includes floor plans, 3D computer modelling and cost analysis – a careful, well-considered process.

We work in collaboration with our clients following the below process:

1. Inception - We work out the brief and advise on the client’s requirements, budget and programme.
2. Concept & Viability - We prepare an initial concept sketch design and advise on the viability.
3. Design Development - We develop the design further - construction system, services, materials, components and coordinate with consultants.
4.1 Local Authority Submission Documentation - We prepare documentation for local authority approval.
4.2 Construction and Tender Documentation - We prepare construction and tender documentation and assist in finding the right contractor.
5. Construction - We administer the building contract, perform the duties as the principal agent and regularly inspect the works.
6. Close out - We facilitate the project close-out and prepare the necessary documentation to effect completion, handover and operation of the project. 

Sustainability is important to us. Not just in terms of design, but also the people and products we work with. We are always keen to use local products and work with local manufacturers as much as possible. Over the years we have built up good relations with reliable local consultants, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers.
